A Texas native, Stephanie Hogue has lived in Southern California since moving west to attend the University of San Diego in 1987. While in college, she got her start in photography working on the campus newspaper. After receiving a Bachelor's degree from the highly regarded Brooks Institute of Photography in 1993, Stephanie settled near the Channel Islands Harbor where she lives with her husband of 18 years, Jim Davis.
Throughout her career, Stephanie has had the opportunity to photograph weddings, families, commercial jobs and political campaigns worldwide. Her work has been featured in a variety of publications including Time, InStyle, People, Modern Bride, Inside Weddings and Your Wedding Day.
In 2008, Stephanie was hired to photograph John McCain for his presidential campaign in addition to the Senatorial campaigns of Elizabeth Dole of North Carolina and Jim Inhofe of Oklahoma. Stephanie’s natural, documentary style and ability to put people at ease in front of the camera has established her among the Hollywood elite as the “go to” photographer for their own personal special occasions and family gatherings.
Currently, Stephanie owns Latitudes Fine Art Gallery, located in a one hundred year old building in downtown Ventura, CA. Her fine art images hang in the homes of private collectors throughout the country, with collections including a series of painterly dunes and oceanscapes, island landscapes, blossoms and a moody series of B&W trees photographed with infrared film. In the summer of 2014, her first large format art book is being published together with Steve Munch, titled “Latitudes Photo Explorations...Coastal”.
